Hello! Choosing the right therapist to meet your individual needs is a meaningful and important decision. I truly enjoy working with people in all stages of life and feel honored to walk alongside those who are ready for growth, healing, and change.
I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged. I offer guidance and education to help you build healthier coping skills, manage stress more effectively, and develop more balanced and compassionate thinking patterns. I have a special passion for working with individuals navigating grief and loss, and I approach this work with deep respect for each person’s unique experience and pace of healing.
I also specialize in working with individuals facing challenges such as substance use, anxiety, depression, and relationship stress. I believe that with openness, willingness, and support, meaningful change is always possible.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of treatment settings. These experiences have shaped my perspective and allow me to meet clients where they are, offering care that is both personalized and effective.
I welcome the opportunity to connect with you and offer a brief phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit.

I love working with Older Adults! I have over 20 years of experience working primarily with the older adult population. I have also enjoyed my work with families who are dealing with stressors related to a parent or another loved one getting older. I have dealt with anxiety from a young age, grief and loss issues that have hit a deep place within me. I have parents who are getting older, and have enjoyed being a part of my nephews' lives as they mature. I look forward to sitting with, listening, and respectfully walking with you on your journey. I hope to help you navigate whatever changes lie ahead in a holistic, helpful way.

We have never been this age before, our world has never been this way before, and we have never had to face the same challenges in the same way before. Let‘s face it together.

I’m Nikki Tatum, and I have over ten years of experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns. I use a mix of treatment approaches, with a focus on CBT, ACT, and strengths-based therapy to help clients build practical tools and create meaningful change.

I’ve worked with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and more complex conditions, including schizoaffective disorders. I enjoy supporting clients as they work toward personal growth, improved self-esteem, and a better understanding of themselves.
I primarily work with young adults and adults, offering individual therapy tailored to each person’s needs. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your process.

I see individual clients aged 18 and up, most commonly struggling with feelings of isolation, difficulty in relationships, depression, anxiety, guilt/shame, negative view of self, difficulty with fluctuating emotions and issues related to trauma (which includes a range of experiences such as early emotional neglect, childhood or adult emotional/physical/sexual abuse, exposure to violence in the community, exposure to systemic racism or sexism, among many others.)

I use an approach informed by family systems and trauma’s effect on the body to help access healing through emotional awareness and regulation, psycho-education, self compassion and identity formation. I have received basic training in EMDR and and Mindful Self Compassion.
If you see yourself in this description, reach out via email and we can set up a free phone consult to determine if this is a good fit.

If you are feeling hopeless, out of control, or stuck about what is going on in your life, you have come to the right place. The most common issues clients come to me with are: grief, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, job/school stress, self-esteem issues, divorce care, and midlife "crisis." Also, some people seek therapy because they just feel "blah" and unfulfilled and they don't know why. If any of this rings a bell with you, let's talk! I can help by offering new perspectives, teaching coping skills, and introducing more helpful thinking patterns. Change can be so hard, but you don't have to do it alone.

Life can be really difficult sometimes and we all need a little help now and then. If you are new to therapy, please don't feel intimidated. It's really just a conversation with someone who cares but can also be objective. There is no pressure or unsolicited advice and it's all confidential. I want you to feel safe, comfortable and supported working with me.
My passion is helping people just like you. If you are interested in becoming a better, happier, more fulfilled you, get started by reaching out today! Call for a free 10 minute consultation.

The challenges life throws at us can feel like water flooding into a boat, relentless, overwhelming, and urgent. Coping skills are like a bucket: they help you from going under, but they don’t fix the leak. That’s where therapy comes in. My goal is to help you not just bail the water, but find and seal the cracks so you can move through life with confidence, not crisis. In our work together, we’ll go beyond symptom relief to create lasting, meaningful change through talk therapy rooted in psychoeducation, emotional insight, and practical tools.
I believe therapy works best when it is grounded in authenticity and trust. That means I show up as a real human, not with blank stares or clinical coldness, but with warmth, honesty, and curiosity. My priority is to create a space where you feel safe to show up exactly as you are, without judgment.
I am also passionate on helping those with OCD and anxiety disorders. Only a fraction of individuals living with OCD receive effective treatment, I wanted to change that for my community. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), which are considered gold-standard treatments for these conditions.
